There are a lot of factors that go into planning your perfect birth, but one of the biggest is finding a provider who is going to keep your voice at the center of your care. This is exactly why Laura Burnett started South Bay Birth. An experienced midwife, Laura works all across the San Francisco area, helping people as they prepare for their deliveries. As a Redondo Beach maternity photographer, I get the chance to chat with some of the best experts in the industry. Here’s why I always recommend this service!

About South Bay Birth

700 N. Pacific Coast Hwy, Suite 202B., Redondo Beach, California 90277

When Laura Burnett was in her senior year of college, her best friend invited her to something that would go on to change her life: she was about to have her first baby, and she wanted Laura by her side. From that moment on, Laura became obsessed with birth. She finished out her degree at the University of Texas and then moved to California to pursue midwifery. She has since studied all over the country while learning from some of the most established midwives on the scene. Today, she offers midwifery services as well as placenta encapsulation at South Bay Birth.

The South Bay Birth Experience

With Laura, you will be able to choose between home births and birth center births. No matter what you have in mind for your delivery, she is ready to help you make it happen! When you book her for your prenatal care, you will have hour-long appointments each and every time. This is going to give you the ability to ask any questions and make sure you can head into your delivery feeling completely prepared! She takes a holistic approach to all of her work, monitoring your baby’s health while also chatting with you about your nutrition, your lifestyle, exercise, and natural remedies to common ailments.

When your contractions start, South Bay Birth is going to be right by your side, powering you to see your plan through! If you would prefer a water birth, she will make it a possibility, whether you are birthing at home or within the center. Then, once your baby arrives, she will continue to monitor you and will schedule postpartum appointments to monitor you and your baby.
